I have been scouring the web for ways to have fresh veggies (aside from sprouts) in the truck camper. Through pinterest I found some swell solutions.
These both came from a site called 17 apart. The celery eventually gets transplanted into soil. I don’t want to have a whole garden, but a few sprigs of freshness would do the cooking a world of good. Then I found the site called earth911 and they had a section called “garden with garbage” and they suggested romaine lettuce and carrot tops and ginger and garlic and some plants I won’t try, like pineapple.
Now I have to think about where to put these jars where they won’t fall and will get sun and wont slosh water everywhere.
Another storage problem.

Growing the green onions/scallions really is easy! We bought some from the store where my husband works (organic) & planted them, gosh, almost a year ago, and have trimmed them to cook with many, many times since.
