On this morning’s hike I thought about the kitchen area and the increasing space needs. How about if I take just salt and pepper? Taste the food, not the spice ? That segued into utensils, and how about just 1 frying pan and 1 water/soup pot? Skip the dutch oven. Why not start out with the bare minimum and really find out what is needed?
But that dutch oven is so sweet and has been so well maintained and what about all of those vinegars I was going to take?
Will I really use mirin on this journey? Red wine vinegar? Plain old white vinegar? Apple cider vinegar? Balsamic vinegar?
