I am in a spice quandary. I tried a practice packing the 3 kitchen boxes. A dismal failure. The items on the list do not fit. Period.
So I emptied out the overflowing boxes and tried again.
Do I really need fenugreek? Three dish towels? At this point I even took out oregano. I took out the first aid, detergent and hair clips from the breakfast box, which is where they used to live on the 10 day campouts. Still no luck.
On the short campouts I didn’t need cumin seeds and a rock and stone to grind them. I didn’t need more than 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil. I didn’t need pasta and rice and quinoa and cous cous. Do I need them this l-o-o-o-n-g journey? I went to India for several years with just a back pack. I was in South America for a year with just a back pack. What has happened to me?
Is this an age related manifestation?
Aggh. Where am I going to draw the line on what goes in the truck? I am having trouble with books and food. That says a lot about me that I have not given a second thought to clothes.
