#1. From Matador there is an intriguing map of hot springs in the state of Nevada.
Good descriptions and good directions and an interactive map.
… a three-tiered hot pool sits in a dark slot canyon near Hoover Dam. To get there, park at the trailhead on US-93 south of the dam and hike three miles down a flat sandy wash. Arizona Hot Spring is the most accessible spring from the Vegas Strip, so they do get busy. For your best chance at solitude, go for a late-night soak and consider camping on the beach on the edge of the Colorado River.
#2. From The Huffington Post there is a description of cheap Florida camping.
All told from a guy living in his Isuzu. He has great tips, including how to get a permit for Water Management District lands.
“Though this may not be everyone’s idea of snowbirding; for this adventurer on a budget, it was an ideal way to start my retirement adventures.”
I collect internet tidbits on truck camping on Pinterest and Flipboard.
