Most travelers have switched to portable devices instead of old fashioned books. A Kindle or Nook. They brag about how little room they use for hundreds of books. I nod and go into the thrift store to buy another bag of books. Why don’t I use the very nice Kindle that I have?
The free books available digitally have disappointed me.
I can’t figure out how to loan a digital book to someone.
There is little room in my budget for new books.
I can go into a thrift store or library and buy a bag of books for a few dollars.
Until bookbub. Free books for the Kindle or Google or Kobo. But before you sneer at free books look at this example.:
From a New York Times bestselling author comes this “page-turning, heart-stopping saga” (Publishers Weekly), a sweeping historical drama that follows Harry Clifton from the docks of post–World War I England to the bustle of New York City in the 1940s. “There isn’t a better storyteller alive” (Larry King).
I think this bookhub is a winner. I selected my most read genres and saw a great list of free books and books that were priced at 1.99 and 2.99. The selection was great (lots of books I wanted to read) and the prices were affordable. Will I switch to digital for my reading addiction? I will let you know.
