Lost ‘Phone

I lost the ‘phone for 5 days. Whew. What a relief not to find it. I started looking, instead of composing photos for the blog. I started listening to the plethora of birds (stating at 5:50 am every morning) instead of downloaded podcasts. I didn’t want to find the ‘phone (telephone? really? More like a pocket computer/tv/radio/camera).

I realized that I was not being very present.

So, the blog is stopping for a while. I might pick the blog up again when I get moving. Gonna try Arizona during the coming winter. The camp hosting in Colorado’s wonderful San Juan National Forest will end in September. Maybe I will be present enough by then.

Just cut my hair and was very excited

Hope to see you on the road!

Love seeing your smiling face, Pickett ! Bill got me (and himself) cell phones for my birthday. It took me 3 months to learn how to answer it but of course, I didn’t have any inclination to do so. Still don’t. xoxo

love you Jane. The portability of the mobile phone has its good points, but I was using it to distract and entertain when I could have just looked around.

I enjoyed reading your post today. Thanks for a gentle reminder that it is us who own the phone… not the phone owning us. We have been camping out and about away from phone signals with our camper. It may drive friends nuts, but we like the quiet time!

Now the monsoon is upon us. And the mosquitoes are breeding. And it is beautiful with the green coming back. Phew. Hugs back to you.

Thinking of you in that beautiful wilderness. It’s a reminder to all of us using current means of communication to walk away and smell the roses & listen to the birds. Take care!

It is hard to voluntarily leave “it” home. It really helped that I lost “it” for a few days. Now its loads easier to leave “it” in the truck.

Broken heart (losing phone) became whole when I realized it was lost. Then when it was found it was so much easier to do without. Now a whole heart.

Thank Fred. It couldn’t have happened without losing the darn thing. Now its not hard to leave it in the truck when I go to clean bathrooms or go for a walk. Feels like a big weight off of my ownership of things!
